My Favorite Brownie Recipe

My favorite brownie recipe starts with a box...

Ok. maybe it’s cheating to even call it a recipe? But, y’all, it’s SO good.

1 Box Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix

Mix the ingredients according to directions.

Then...

Add 1 extra egg, 1 extra tablespoon oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 

Mix well. Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set.  

These make thick, moist, decadent brownies. 

Try it with a scoop of ice cream. Or better yet, with a giant glass of iced coffee. 

And then we will be BFF’s forever.

My Week In Pictures

Fall Again

We woke up to a crisp, cool morning, and a subtle change to our leaves. Fall is here. 🍂

Happenings

Sipping iced coffee while enjoying the view outside my window. One of my favorite things to do. Even more so when the leaves start to change color...

I gave this little girl a haircut this week. She looks so big in this picture! She’s pure delight. 💕

The girls picked out wooden artwork to paint from Hobby Lobby. I love that they both wanted Paw Patrol themed projects. 😉

Thankful

The last few weeks have been extremely stressful. Sickness, exhaustion, and major dental issues for one of the kiddos has left me in a giant ball of stress, anxiety and feeling like a failure. 

One night, I needed to get out of the house (cabin fever!) and we drove to a small park near the river. We were only there for s few minutes, but between snowing leaves and a magnificent sunset, I felt such a wonderful sense of peace.

I’m so thankful for those everyday, ordinary moments that He gives us. 💙

Little Lovies

This big girl started ballet last week. She loved every minute. 

Day In The Life

I love to do a day in the life post a couple of times a year. Last year, I did a DITL on Instagram, and today I put together a short video. It's fun to look back on them to see how big the girls have gotten, and how much has changed.

I'm ready to snuggle up with a couple of new books given to me by a friend, light up my new fall candle, and raid the kitchen for some dark chocolate. ;-)

Morning Basket

I first heard the term "Morning Basket" last year when we were starting Pre-K with my oldest. I loved the idea of starting the day with a "feast" mentality and providing beautiful literature to my girls. We took a break over summer, but picked up with our Morning Basket routine this fall. 

I may add or take away to go along with seasons and holidays, but for the most part, the books I share are what we use on a regular basis.

We've been under the weather this week, which has given me some time to work on a few projects, which included a video tour of our homeschool room.

Labor Day Ramblings

My mom watched the kids the other night so we could have a date night...which meant getting the first Pumpkin Spice coffees of the season!!! They tasted extra delicious! 😉

Yesterday, I stopped at Walmart to pick up fresh roses. I just needed a pretty little corner in my kitchen. I loved mixing the pink & yellow colors. 🌹

We have figured out a nice little rhythm with homeschooling. The girls have fun learning and playing together. We also joined a homeschool group and participated in our first field trip of the year...to the fire department. 🚒 We has a blast!
