Just a Few Musings...

~Growing up, my favorite show was I Love Lucy. It still brings back some of my happiest memories from childhood.

~Given the choice, I would pick coffee over soda pop, regardless of the time of day.

~I prefer Pancakes over waffles. Butter & Syrup, please.

~I love watching old Disney Movies. Summer Magic, Herbie, Snowball Express are just a few of my favorites!

~Cozy nights at home snuggling with my family are my favorite ways to relax these days.

~Someday, I would love to take ballet classes again.

~I'm a total Marvel Movie nerd!! We have seen nearly every Marvel movie in the theater...Captain America is hands down my favorite.

~Every once in a while, I crave oatmeal with toast. I like mine with brown sugar, butter and a dash of milk. Whenever I eat it, it makes me think of my Mimmie and Papaw.

Well, that was probably more than you'd ever want to know. What are some of your own random facts?

This Week...

We have been studying the fruits of the spirit! The girls have enjoyed coloring the words that correspond with the scripture. Also, we have an art wall in the school room, and I'm fairly certain it will be filled up by the end of the year.

We had crazy heat index earlier this week that spiked over 110 outside!! That's craziness. Anyway, I promptly stayed inside and pretended it was fall by making a warm vanilla latte. It's just how I roll.

Of course, we had to venture outside eventually, so we loaded up on snow cones. The girls had rainbow snow cones, Josh had Tiger's Blood and I had a Banana Snow Cone. Yum. What is your favorite flavor?

A Happy Friday Post

Good morning, friends! I've been down for the count thanks to wisdom teeth removal earlier this week which landed me on the couch for the last two days. The silver lining? I've had lots of time to read and an excuse to eat mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner. Today is the first day the pain has felt manageable, so I'm feeling a tad bit more human. ;) I guess this means I need to catch up laundry, too.

Speaking of books, I read three in a row this week. The Bookshop at the Shore would have gotten a solid five stars from me if it hadn't been for language. Otherwise....quirky characters, Scottish backdrop, books, and a story of blended families. I truly loved it! I also read The Light Between The Oceans (honestly, a bit to tragic for me to have loved, but good none the less), and Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine. I really enjoyed the latter, and I'm curious if they will make a movie?!

Have you read any good books lately? Who is your favorite author? I've fallen into the hole of bookstagrammers, and have found so many new authors to explore.

In other news, the girls started school this week...pictures to come! Happy Friday, friends. <3

My Blog Has Moved....
